I try to eliminate them from my writing as much as possible, but I don't want to go the other extreme and use so many original phrases that the reader gets thrown out of the story. It's happened to me as a reader, and I don't enjoy it. Funny how some things can be cliche in one region and not another (like the tin one above--that totally didn't even register with me, mainly because 'tin' isn't a word used around here very often!). Makes me think at least! :)Meradeth Houstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06741790047121063893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015025502147924207.post-51345998346517286532013-11-21T14:24:09.559-08:002013-11-21T14:24:09.559-08:00I've read books where the characters use clich...I've read books where the characters use cliches just to make fun of them. ;)Kelly Hashwayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13936313159809041986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8015025502147924207.post-21600932747981100982013-11-21T03:50:57.755-08:002013-11-21T03:50:57.755-08:00Thank you, Nas.
